Oaklands Association Membership
History is brought
to life every day at Oaklands Historic House Museum. Visitors
to Oaklands experience life at an 1860s
plantation home and leave with a deeper appreciation and
knowledge of antebellum Middle Tennessee. The museum provides visitors of all ages an
opportunity to learn and appreciate the important history
of Oaklands and the community of Murfreesboro.

us meet that objective by becoming a member of Oaklands Association.
Your membership is an investment in our
community's past, present, and future. Memberships provide
Oaklands the support needed to preserve, restore, and interpret
a truly unique and significant link to our past. There are
precious few opportunities to join in the preservation of
our community's heritage, an Oaklands membership
is one important way to participate. The Association
is a
self-supporting entity responsible for raising all funding
necessary to maintain and administer the museum, so your membership
is a vital part of our continued success.
Every year at Oaklands is an exciting and busy one. The Visitors Center
allows us to better accommodate our organizational
and visitor needs, and to serve the community as a rental
facility. Among the functions planned this year are several
events for
Oaklands members, as well as a variety of educational activities
such as Day Camp and Free Day in May. The annual Candlelight
Tour of Homes and the Christmas Gala will close out the year.
The Oaklands membership, Board of Trustees, and staff thank
you for your consideration. We hope that you will support
